Happy New Year!  By now, you’re all rested up after whatever party or parties you attended on Thursday and wondering what the week ahead has in store for you.  Some suggestions:

• Dion Roy Live - Opening for Ryan Cabrera: Monday night, 8 PM, Highline Ballroom (Doors open at 6 PM, Roy takes the stage at 8 PM, and tickets can be had for eight dollars if you buy in advance.)
• Laughs at Luca Lounge: Monday night, 8 PM, Luca Lounge (Not only will there will be a “cocktail of comedy with standup, storytelling, characters, and music,” but the pizza is free.)
• January NY Tech Meetup- Is it 2010 Already?: Tuesday night, 7 PM, SUNY Fashion Institute of Technology’s Haft Auditorium (Five startups will have five minutes to demo their product or service and five others will get just a minute to tell the audience about theirs.  Expect to find me there and at the afterparty at the Black Door in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood.)
• The Fourth Annual Fifty First Jokes: Tuesday night, 7:30 PM, The Studio @ Webster Hall (Fifty comedians will each tell the first joke which they have written for 2010.)
• First Wednesday 2010: Wednesday night, 7 PM, Olives Union Square (It’s the first gathering of this networking even for advertising professionals of the new year.)
